Another thank you card

Hello Friends! I can't believe that Christmas is next week! Where has the time gone? Well, I do have good news to report...I'm all done with my Christmas shopping, woohoo!! I'm popping in today with another thank you card that I made for one of my co-workers. He gave me some Christmas gifts for Paige, which was so thoughtful!
Since I made this card for a co-worker, I decided to go with an office theme for the card. Hopefully he liked it! Well, I'm not sure if I'll be back before Christmas, so I would like to wish you all a Merry and Blessed Christmas! I hope Santa brings you everything on your list!

Thanks for stopping by,
Carol

Stocking Stuffers

Hello Friends! Did you have a nice weekend? I certainly did! We finally got our Christmas tree and put up all of our holiday decorations, so I'm a happy girl right about now! Paige has been focused on the lights on the tree and it's so sweet to see her little face sparkle!

After I made the grocery list for my girlfriend, I realized what a great stocking stuffer those would be. So, I whipped up a few more to add to some Christmas gifts. One will be going to my mom (hence the one that says Helen's grocery list). I made the mistake of putting her name on the first one I gave to her so now she expects it on every one of them! LOL!
These are pretty self explanatory as you've seen them many, many times! I used the same pad of paper for all of them, October Afternoon's 9 to 5 collection and then I varied the sentiments on each. I like the color combos on these, and hopefully it will be a nice little surprise in their gift bags!

I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Christmas Wishes

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday!! I hope you all are doing well and staying warm if it's chilly in your neck of the woods. Well, I was able to finish the Christmas cards for my friend and mailed them to her yesterday, woohoo! I was getting a little nervous that I wouldn't be able to finish them, but I put Paige in her little bouncy, parked her in my craft room and we chatted while I made cards. :-)

Remember I told you that my friend loves snowmen? Well, I found this digital image from Mo Manning and went from there. I cut the frame using my Silhouette Cameo, colored the image with Copic markers and added the sentiment to the die cut at the bottom. That snowman just makes me smile! I have to say that snow definitely makes it feel more like the holidays, being in south Florida in 80 degree weather at Christmas time still feels weird to me!

I also added a grocery list to my friend's package because she loves them, and I wanted to thank her for being patient with me!

Random comment for the day, do you use Shutterfly for your photos? I absolutely LOVE it! We ordered our Christmas cards from them and they turned out awesome! This is the first time in a long time that I didn't make my own Christmas cards but now that we have Paige, a photo card was definitely the way to go! I also ordered a calendar and I love that too! The quality is fantastic! Anyway, just a random comment and wanted to find out if you all use Shutterfly too!

I'm so happy you stopped by today, have a great weekend!

Thanks ever so much

Hello Friends! Happy Hump Day! The weekend is almost here and that's always a reason to celebrate! My week has been wonderful, me and Paige went to lunch with my neighbor yesterday and we had a great time. Paige is such a good baby, she doesn't mind going out at all! I really need to get started on her scrapbook so I can share all of these wonderful moments with her when she gets older.

Today I have another thank you card to share. You are not going to believe this, but we received a gift for Paige from our drycleaner! Okay, just so you know we haven't been there in a couple of years because we moved, but David will drop by from time to time to say hello. Anyway, I just can't believe they did that for us. We truly are surrounded by some wonderful people!
I find this card to be colorful and sweet, the perfect way to say thank you! I hope they like it, oh and we also dropped a picture of the baby in there for them as well. Well, that's if for me today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Joy

Hello Friends! Well the holidays are in full swing! I hope your holiday shopping is coming along nicely, as for me I still haven't started! LOL! The good thing is I have a list, so I know exactly what I want to buy, it's just a matter of getting out there and buying it!

So today, since we're talking about the holidays, I have a set of Christmas cards to share with you. My friend asked me to make some cards for her (as I do every year) but since I have the baby I was kind of hesitant because I wasn't sure I'd be able to complete them. Well, I'm halfway there, and here is the first set.

I used the same paper pad for all 7 cards and decided to make tent topper cards for a nice change. I actually got the idea from the super talented Debbie Olson. The cards are 4 1/4 square, and the circle on top sticks out just far enough to make them the perfect A2 size. My friend asked for a total of 15 cards, so I'll be busy making the rest today!

Thank You - October Afternoon style

Hello Friends! I hope your holiday weekend was fabulous and I also hope you were able to get in some good shopping! I can't believe it's already December and Christmas is just a few short weeks away! I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet, but I will be holiday mode very soon!

Today, I have a card to share that I made for our neighbor. First, I have to say that we live in a great neighborhood, all of our neighbors are so darn sweet! This particular neighbor stopped by last week with a gift for the baby and I wanted to say thank you.
As you know, I'm a HUGE fan of October Afternoon, they have awesome paper and embellishments! This card came together pretty easily and now I'm off to hand deliver it to my neighbor. :-)

Chalkboard Birthday

Hello Friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! There are certainly many things for me to be thankful for this year, but topping the list is definitely our little girl! We are so thankful that we have been blessed with a healthy, happy, and sweet baby. Family is so important, and I thank God every day for blessing me with my wonderful family and close friends.

Today, I'm sharing a card I made for my boss' daughter (gotta get in good with the kids!) LOL! She is 12 years old and is the sweetest young lady. I decided to go chalkboard style on this one as it is still so popular right now in paper crafting.
I think this turned out pretty fun and festive! She liked it and I think it helped me get in really good with my boss! :-) Well, I hope you are having a great start to the holiday season and getting your shopping done early, the deals are amazing!

SMILE

Hello Friends! I'm back today with a really fun/cute card to share. A friend of mine needed a little pick-me-up so I made this card to help brighten her day.
Isn't she cute?! I love this patterned paper by October Afternoon! Their paper and embellishments are so beautiful, I didn't have to stamp on this card at all! My friend absolutely loved it and she said it definitely put a smile on her face. With that said, my work there was done! :-)

I hope you have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Masculine Birthday

Hello Friends! While I'm home on maternity leave, I've been making a conscious effort to get some crafting done so I can start posting regularly on the ol' blog! Being a new mommy is great, but time goes by so fast during the day it's hard to really do much of anything else! So, I won't make any promises, but I will do the very best I can! :-)

Today, I have a masculine birthday card that I made for my brother-in-law's birthday. As many of you know, masculine cards really aren't my thing but I think I'm kinda diggin' this one!
This card came together really quickly. I just used my circle die to cut out the circles, added that little quote bubble and stamped the "Oh Snap!" sentiment. I then adhered those cute little wood veneer cameras, a few enamel dots, and the birthday sentiment to the middle. Not too shabby for my take at a masculine card, what do you think?

I have a few more cards that I made recently that I will be sharing in the coming days, and like I said I hope to get crafty more often - Wish me luck!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Farmhouse Company
Stamps: Think Big Favorites Birthday (Papertrey Ink), Picture Perfect a la mode (MFT)
Embellishments: wood veneer cameras, quote bubble (Studio Calico), enamel dots

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm in Love...

with this beautiful little girl! Please say hello to Miss Paige Nicole! She's now 7 weeks old and she is a healthy, beautiful, sweet, and busy baby. She totally has me and dad wrapped around her little  finger!

She is the sweetest baby ever! I think all new mom's say that, right? Well, I just wanted to pop in and introduce you to our little bundle of joy!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

I'm Back!

Hello Friends! I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post (Bad Blogger, Bad Blogger - said as I'm slapping my wrist - LOL!). Pregnancy and life really throw a monkey wrench into blogging on a regular basis. Things have been going great with me, I'm now 35 weeks pregnant and we had a BEAUTIFUL baby shower last week, and my co-workers gave me another baby shower this past Friday. Paige really has a lot of people who love her already!

My husband had a boys weekend in Key West so that gave me some quiet time to just start getting things ready for Paige. My girlfriend Jeanette came over yesterday and washed all of her clothes, and put them away, she put her high chair, high tech swing, and pack & play together she really helped me SO MUCH! I absolutely love and adore her.

I promise that I will post pics from both showers very soon! Everyone was just so sweet and I am so blessed to have all of them in my life.

So, I do have a card to share with you today. We had some seriously delicious food for our baby shower and we had it catered from a local restaurant. We had baked chicken (which was seasoned like nobody's business!), green beans, pigeon peas and rice, candied yams, and cornbread muffins. Can you say DELICIOUS?! Everyone enjoyed the food tremendously and my husband asked me to make a card for the restaurant owner, which I happily obliged. Here's what I came up with...
For this card I embossed a piece of cardstock with the twig like image you see in the background. I used the Rosie Posie stamp set from Papertrey Ink for the flowers as well as Boutique Borders Thanks mini stamp set and a little chocolate ribbon finish it off. Even though there are flowers on the card, I still feel that it's manly enough to give to a dude, my husband agreed so I'm cool with it! LOL!

Well that's it for me today. Since I only have 4 more weeks to go before I deliver, I will do my best to post as much as I can! I guess that means that I gotta get to crafting, right?! As always, thank you so much for stopping by!

Baby Bump Update

Hello Friends! Did you have a nice weekend? Mine was certainly nice, very busy but nice. So, we had an appointment for our 3D ultrasound, but little Miss Paige decided that she didn't want to cooperate. :-( She had her hand in front of her face the whole time so we couldn't get a good picture. Considering that we get an ultrasound every two weeks, maybe she's just tired of the paparazzi! LOL!

Then on Sunday we took a breast feeding and child care class which was really informative. I've been on the fence about breast feeding but after hearing about all the benefits for the baby I'm totally on board! The class was 3.5 hours long so it was A LOT of information and we got a great goodie bag, so it was well worth our time. The next thing on the agenda is to tour the hospital we're going to deliver in. That should be fun! There are just so many little things to put into place before she gets here, I have a running list of "to-do's" for me and my husband!

So, without further ado, here is our Week 30 photo! Wow, 30 weeks I can't believe how fast this time is going!
My belly is definitely growing by leaps and bounds! But, I'm still feeling good, still working out, and still smiling! Well, I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful week! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Vegas Birthday

Hello Friends! Happy Friday to all of you!! This week hasn't been too bad at all, and the weekend is here so that's definitely a reason to celebrate! Do you have anything fun and exciting planned for the weekend? Well my husband and I will be getting one of those cool 3-D ultrasounds this weekend and we're also taking a childcare class so this weekend is all about baby! I still can't believe I'm already 30 weeks, the time is truly flying by!!

Well, today I have a cool card to share with you. My sweet friend Chi will be celebrating her birthday with some girlfriends in Vegas so what else could I do but make a Vegas themed card?
Of course I used my handy dandy Silhouette to cut out the Las Vegas sign (I love that machine!). I also had a super small box of playing cards from Tim Holtz that I added to the bottom of the card. And, I'm not sure how well you can see it but I added the sentiment Happy Birthday to You (Papertrey Ink) and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I really enjoyed making this card and Chi really liked it, so as I always say that's what makes me the most happy!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by!

New and Improved Grocery List

Hello Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! So far, so good over here. Today I have a quick post to share with a new grocery list template. The previous one I was using was from Papertrey Ink and I had to print it and cut it by hand. It wasn't terrible, but it was a tad-bit time consuming. Now that I have my Silhouette, I was able to find a template that I could just press "cut" and not only does the machine cut it, but it adds the perforated lines down the spine as well! Talk about saving time! This template is a little larger than the previous one, so I used my friend Jeanette as the tester. She LOVED it! It still fits comfortably in her purse and for me it's a no-brainer that I'll turn to this template again and again and again! Here's a photo...
Can you say easy-peasy?! Even the patterned paper on the front of the grocery list was cut with my Silhouette and as you can see it fits perfectly! I used the Friendship Jar stamp set from Papertrey Ink, a little patterned paper and a ribbon finish it off. I'm sure this will not be the last time you see one of these!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

ViewMaster Birthday card

Hello Friends! I hope you've had a great week and your weekend is off to a wonderful start! My week was pretty good, kinda busy but busy is good, right? Today I'm heading off to get another pregnancy massage, so I'm definitely looking forward to that. Tomorrow we're invited to a birthday party (yup another one) but I think I'll leave my dancing shoes at home this time. LOL!

I made today's card for my very sweet friend and co-worker, Sheri. Her birthday was earlier this week so I thought I would make a nostalgic card for her. Do you remember the ViewMaster?? I sure do, I loved that thing when I was a kid! It's funny because after I gave it to her she had it on display on her desk and she said people kept coming over and asking her if it was real! LOL!
I made this card using my Silhouette for the ViewMaster (isn't it cute?!), and I used the Maggie Holmes collection from Crate Paper for my patterned paper. I think I need to get another pack of that paper because I absolutely LOVE IT!! I had some wood veneer cameras that I sprayed with mist and added to the top along with a chipboard piece that I stamped. I used Papertrey Ink stamps for the sentiment and also their die cut for the shape at the bottom. This card truly makes me smile, and what makes me smile even more was that my friend really liked it!

Well, that's it for me today I hope you have a great Saturday! Thank you for stopping by and I'll be posting again real soon!

Did you miss me?

Hello Friends! I'm sorry that I've been MIA, but I have been SO tired lately. This little girl in my belly is growing and growing, and it's making me more and more tired! :-) I haven't crafted in weeks (I'm putting a stop to that today!), so the blog has been really quiet. To get you a little caught up, I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant - we're in the home stretch...the last trimester! I'll be taking an update photo tomorrow so you can see the baby bump! Last weekend we were in Orlando for my husband's family reunion which was REALLY fun! Last night we went to a birthday party at BB King's which has great food and a phenomenal live band! We danced all night! Hmmm, maybe that's why I'm so tired! LOL! So, that's just a brief update on what's been going with me the last few weeks.

In the crafty world, I recently had two cousins that had baby boy's so I made cards for both of them.
For both of these cards I used some older Cosmo Cricket paper and I didn't use stamps on either of  these cards. Hopefully my cousins will like them, and I'm sure they will love the gift cards that are inside! LOL!

Well, that's it from me today. Like I said earlier, I plan on getting crafty today so hopefully I will have more to post soon. And, don't forget a new baby bump photo will be posted within the next couple of days, so be sure to stop by again soon! Have a great weekend!

More birthday card goodness

Hello Friends! How was your 4th of July? Mine was excellent! We went to my brother-in-law's house and his friend won a 4th of July bash from a radio station! They had a food truck with the BEST hamburgers and hotdogs I've ever tasted, they brought a DJ from the station and we jammed all night! Talk about FUN!!! Yesterday, I got a much needed massage and ran a few errands. Saturday night we met some friends for dinner at our favorite seafood restaurant and stuffed our faces until we couldn't eat any more! So, needless to say I had a great weekend!

In crafty news, I have the last two birthday cards to share with you today.

I used the Rosie Posie stamp set from Papertrey Ink along with a musical note background stamp from Hero Arts. I heat embossed the musical notes, die cut the shape for the flowers, added ribbon and the sentiment to the bottom. I was able to whip this card up pretty quickly and I really like the way they turned out.

Well, I hope the rest of your Sunday is fantastic! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Baby Bump Update

Hello Friends! Happy day before the 4th of July!! :-) I hope you all have fun and exciting plans for the holiday! I'll definitely post about my holiday over the weekend. Today I have a new "baby bump" photo to share with you! I have to admit, I love these posts! :-) We've been trying to take a new photo every 4 weeks, but we kind of slacked off so it's been 6 weeks since my last pic! So, without further ado, here's the latest and greatest on my baby belly!
She's definitely getting big in there because trust me I can feel my ligaments stretching! I've gained about 9 lbs so far, and let me tell I LOVE food, so it's been wonderful being able to eat Guilt Free! This weekend I'm heading to a maternity spa to get The Perfect Pregnancy Massage, you have no idea how much I'm looking forward to that!

Well, I guess I better start getting ready for work. We can actually leave early today so I think afterward, I'll get myself a mani/pedi and just have a kind of "pamper me" weekend! There's nothing wrong with that, right?! I hope you all have a great day and a safe and fun 4th of July!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Monday!

Hello Friends! I have a question...is Monday ever really happy?! Do you mind if I answer my own question? I say YES, especially if you've had a great weekend and you have a short work week (I'm only working 3 days this week due to the July 4th holiday), so Monday really can be happy! :-)

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was great! My friends and I met for lunch then we spent 3 hours in the baby store creating the registry. Whew, it was exhausting, but super fun we truly had a blast! And now that's one thing I can check off of the to-do list! The rest of the weekend I spent chilling with my honey, we watched movies all weekend. We capped off our movie watching with The Call starring Halle Berry. It was really good, we enjoyed it.

So, today I have another birthday card to share with you. I used a new stamp set from My Favorite Things called Abstract Art. Such a fun set and don't you just love the little paint brushes!

Something tells me that I'll be using this stamp set again, and again (wink, wink). :-) Well, I hope you all have a "Happy Monday" and I will chat with you soon and hopefully I'll have a new "baby bump" photo to share! As always, thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Friday friends! We made it through another week, woohoo!! Do you have fun plans this weekend? I sure do, I'm meeting a couple of my girlfriends for lunch and then we're hitting a few stores to start the baby registry! I'm really looking forward to it because my girls are a blast to hang out with, and I can't wait to see all of the baby items that are out there these days. I've been really good with restraining myself from entering the baby stores solo because let's face it, she's my first child so I really have NO idea what I need!! LOL!

So, today I have another birthday card to share with you:
For this card I used patterned paper from Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes collections, I added another one of my favorite embellishments the doily, and then used Papertrey Ink's Boutique Borders Birthday sentiment stamp and die cut. I whipped this one up pretty quickly and I really like the chevron stripes, I think it adds some character to the card. :-)

Well, that's it for me today. I hope you have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!

More birthday cards

Hello Friends! It's hump day, yea!! This week seems to be moving along a little sluggishly for me, I am so ready for the weekend! I know I've mentioned in the past, that birthday cards are some of my favorite cards to make, not to mention the most popular. I don't know about you, but I love to receive actual birthday cards. I know many of us are busy and the e-cards are a good alternative, but I LOVE paper and I'm so happy to see that many of my friends and co-worker's still enjoy sending birthday cards as well.

With that said, I just finished making a set of birthday cards for a co-worker so I'll be sharing those with you over the next few days. Here are the first two cards:

Both cards were made with a stamp set from Papertrey Ink called Up, Up and Away. I used patterned paper from Crate Paper's Maggie Holmes collection (love it!) and I die cut the perforated paper, added the blue sky and clouds with my ink dauber, and also die cut the hot air balloons. Then I stamped the balloon images and added them to the card along with my fave embellishment - enamel dots! These cards truly make me smile (well there's really not much that doesn't make me smile - LOL!!)

Well, I guess I should start getting ready for work! I hope you enjoyed today's post and as always, thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Father's Day!

Hello Friends! This will be a short post, but I would like to wish all the dad's out there a Happy Father's Day! I would also like to take this opportunity to wish my husband a very Happy Father's Day as well! He's so cute, he says to me yesterday "can I celebrate Father's Day now, or do I have to wait until the baby gets here?" I told him, you are a father NOW so get to celebrating!!

Here's the card I made for him:
This card was made using my Silhouette Cameo and I absolutely love how it came out! David loved it to, he said it was very creative. :-) So, we've been married almost 9 years and I would say I've been seriously making cards for the past 5-6 years and can you believe that he has kept every single card I've made for him?! I love that man!! :-)

Again, I hope all of you dad's out there have a great day, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Be Happy

Hello Friends! Are you having a great week so far? Well, I would say that I am but Tuesday night's Heat loss in the NBA finals was a disaster! Oh my goodness, I still can't believe they played so poorly! Well tonight is another night, and hopefully they will make up for it!

So, since I was feeling down about the Heat I decided to post a little project that really makes me happy. I saw this on the Crate Paper blog and just fell in the love with the saying! I have it on my desk at work and it makes me smile every time I look at it. :-)
This is a giant clothespin I bought at JoAnn's and I dressed it up with some patterned paper, twine and a couple of adorable embellishments. Do you see why this saying makes me smile? Well, I'm hoping that I'll still be smiling tonight after the Heat game! :-)

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

A cute card for a cute little girl

Hello Friends! Are you having a good weekend? I sure hope so! I've had a pretty relaxing weekend, but I was able to get some stuff done around the house (that never ends does it?!). I also did a little crafting and that always makes for a fabulous weekend for me!

So, today's card I made for my friend's very sweet daughter, Grace. She is such a delightful little girl (she's 5) and we all hung out a couple of weekend's ago and she was such a joy to be around. Not only did we have fun hanging out but she gave so many of her baby things to me for my baby. I tell you what, when this little girl gets here she's going to be SO SPOILED!! I truly have the most amazing friends! Here's the card:
This card was made using my Silhouette Cameo and I just added the ribbon and the little pearls on the bottom. Gracie is definitely a girly girl so I had to do something pink! I also gave her a cookies and cream cupcake to say thank you. Her mommy said she loved it! :-)

So, that's it for me today I hope your Sunday is great and I will chat with you again soon!

Thank you cards

Hello Friends! Today I'm back to share some thank you cards with you. Can you believe that many of our friends have already given us gifts for the baby? She is going to be one lucky little girl! We really have awesome friends, and neighbors so I wanted to whip up a few thank you cards to let them know how much we appreciate their thoughtfulness. I made a set of 8 cards (unfortunately I sealed the majority of them in envelopes before taking a photo - DUH, what was I thinking??) I'm blaming it on "pregnancy brain!" LOL! I was able to take photos of two of the cards...

And here they are side by side...
I used the same overall pattern on all the cards, I just changed the colors so I wouldn't get bored. :-) I used this great design I got from a blog post by the very talented Betsy Veldman (it can be found in her tutorials section), unfortunately I'm still unable to link webpages on my blog. I really need to contact Blogger and find out what the problem is.

All stamps that were used are by Papertrey Ink (Handmade Stationary, It's Official, and Wood Mats). These cards were pretty quick to make and I really like how they turned out.

Well, it's back to another work week but at least it's a short one! I hope you all have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

A BIG Announcement!!

Hello Friends! I hope you are enjoying this long Memorial Day weekend! Our weather has been perfect down here, bright sun and blue skies. We don't have much planned this weekend, I think we really just want to relax and chill a little bit. On Monday we'll be visiting our friends for a nice BBQ and that's always fun!

So, you may be wondering...what the heck is this BIG announcement all about?! Well, I have some wonderful news to share...I'M PREGNANT!!! This will be our first child and we are just over the moon excited! I couldn't be more happier if I tried! Our friends and family already know our BIG news as we're currently 18 weeks into the pregnancy, but I wanted to share this awesome news with all of you! :-) So, with that said, I will leave you with a photo
If you're unable to read the sign, it says the baby is a GIRL!!! How exciting is that?! I see a lot of pink in this little girl's future! My crafty friend Leslie made the sign for me, I just adjust the numbers and the update on the baby at the bottom, I love it! So, I try to take a photo every 4 weeks so we can measure the progression of the baby bump! Everything so far has been wonderful, I feel good, my spirits are high, and we truly feel blessed.

I hope the rest of your weekend is amazing, have fun, be safe, and enjoy the holiday! And as always, thank you so much for stopping by!

P.S. My plan is to get some crafting done this weekend, so I should have some fun stuff to share with you soon!

Did you miss me?

Hello Friends! I'm sorry that things have been so quiet on the blog here lately. Of course I have to ask...did you miss me? I sure missed you! Things have been kind of crazy around here lately and I just didn't have the extra time I needed to share with all of you.

One of the reasons why I was away from the blog is because I had to take a quick business trip to Orlando earlier this week. Although I was exhausted when I got back, it was so much fun. We did a team building exercise with the Disney Institute which was wonderful. We broke into several teams and played Pluto's Pursuit which was a scavenger hunt inside of Epcot. We had an entire booklet with questions and trivia that we had to answer inside all of the countries at Epcot. Can you say fun?! What was even more fun was that my team won!!!!

The next day we did behind the scenes at Disney which took us to the underground tunnels at Magic Kingdom. Can you say cool?! :-) We also went to their main laundry service. Sounds weird right? Well, they do 54 tons of laundry every 8 hours and their turnover rate for employment is in the single digits! They treat their employees so wonderful there! We also toured their 300,000 sq ft warehouse where they make all of the floats and they even built the monorail system they have at Disney. Unbelievable! Okay, so enough about that, I do have a couple of projects to share with you today. My co-worker asked me to make gift tags for all of the attendees at the meeting (52) and here's what I came up with:

I used different Disney character's for the tags - with Mickey being on the majority of them (of course!). Then another co-worker decided to stay in Orlando for the weekend with a few other co-workers for a Girls Only Weekend and she also asked for gift tags.
This whole tag was cut out using my Sihouette Cameo, don't you just love that high heeled shoe?! These were a lot of fun to make, and my co-worker really liked them which is always the goal! Well, I think that's it for me today. I apologize for the lengthy post, but I missed you guys! :-) Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday card for our God Daughter

Hello Friends! How are you doing today? I hope you are doing well and having a great week thus far! My week has been going by quite nicely, I can't complain one bit.

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for our God Daughter, Danielle. She is just the cutest and sweetest little girl! I decided to use a Pure Innocence image from My Favorite Things, because they are all just so darn cute! Here's what I came up with:
Isn't she a doll?! I used Copic markers to color her hair, skin, and jeans. Then I paper pieced her shirt and added a little coloring to the flower on her shirt. The patterned paper I used is from October Afternoon, it's called Farm Girl. Then, I used a die cut from Papertrey Ink, added the sentiment and some of those enamel dots that I love and that was it. Danielle loved the card as well as her gift - do your remember Baby Alive from back in the day? It was the doll that you fed with "baby food" and she actually does #1, and #2 in her diaper. Well I loved that doll when I was a kid and I thought, what the heck maybe Danielle will love it too! LOL!

Have a great day, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Margarita's for Everyone!

Hello Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! My weekend was really nice, we celebrated my husband's birthday and did some relaxing as well as some work around the house. It was a fun yet productive weekend.

Today I want to share some margaritas that I made for my dear friend Jeanette. Her company was celebrating customer service week so all of the manager's had a different theme for their group. Jeanette's theme was...you guessed it Cinco de Mayo! So, she asked if I could make some margarita's for her group (44) and at the end of the week (actually I think it's today) the reps that met their goals will be treated to virgin margaritas! Fun, huh?!

So, I plugged in Cammie (my Silhouette) and got to work! This is what I came up with:
Cammie cut the glass, the "margarita", lime, and straw. I added some glitter to the rim of the glass for the salt. :-) Then all I had to do was add some adhesive, and voila a paper crafted margarita! My friend put the margarita's on everyone's keyboard the night before they came in and she said they were just ecstatic when they saw them! This was definitely a super fun project for me, I absolutely love doing things like this.

Well, I hope your week is off to a great start and I want to thank you so much for stopping by!

T.G.I.F.!!!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday!!! You have no idea how happy I am that the weekend is finally here! We had some really bad rain here yesterday, there was some flash flooding and even a tornado touched down in Boca Raton! It was a crazy, wet day. I think there's more rain in the forecast today but hopefully it won't be anything like yesterday.

I'm looking forward to the weekend because my husband's birthday is tomorrow! He just wants to have a quiet, relaxing day and we'll go out to dinner in the evening. We were thinking about going out of town for the weekend, but it didn't pan out but I'm cool with being at home. :-)

So, today I have the last of the birthday cards to share with you:

The first card uses a library pocket embellishment with some patterned paper from Crate Paper. I used a die cut for the top and added the birthday sentiment. I also did a little stamping on the library pocket as well as a little swirl on the side of the card.

For the second card, what says birthday more than ice cream?! This one was pretty fun to make. Again, I used patterned paper from Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes collection) and used one of the doilies from the patterned paper to adhere my circle die cut into. I used a stamp set from Papertrey Ink called Comfort Food for the ice cream, bowls, and spoons. Love how this one turned out!

Well, I'm off to start getting ready for work hopefully the day will fly by! I hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Nothing like birthday cards on a Monday...

Hello Friends! Happy Monday! Did you have a nice weekend? Mine was pretty relaxed which is always nice. Hopefully spring has sprung wherever you may be, we've had some really pretty weather the last few days and sunny skies make me smile!

So, what better way to start off the week then with birthday cards?! I have two more to share with you:

For both cards I used the same cardstock and patterned paper. On the first card I used a cute library card with my friend's name Chi as the author. :-) I used a stamp set from Papertrey Ink called Harvest Berries and then added a colorful butterfly to finish it off. On the second card I used a stamp and die set from Papertrey Ink called Just the Ticket. I really like those little tickets, it just looks festive to me. Then I added a die cut from October Afternoon and added a few enamel dots from Teresa Collins (these are quickly becoming my favorite embellishment!!).

Well that's it for me today, I hope your week is off to a great start! Enjoy your day and thank you so much for stopping by!

It's all about birthday's!

Hello Friends! How is your weekend going so far? Mine has been great! I met one of my BFF's at California Pizza Kitchen yesterday for lunch and I was SO disappointed because they no longer have the salted caramel pudding. :-( I guess it was a seasonal item and it has been taken off the menu which I just can't understand because it was the best dessert I've ever tasted! So, our server recommended the butter pound cake. I must say that it was pretty darn tasty as well. It was a moist pound cake on the bottom, cheesecake on top, and then it had ice cream, a caramel drizzle, and whipped cream. Not bad at all! I guess this will be my trusty stand-by until they bring back that caramel pudding! LOL!

Today, my honey and I are going out on a date. :-) We're going to the movies to see the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, I've heard that it's amazing! I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Of course we'll do dinner while we're out and just spend a nice romantic day together.

So, onto the cards. Today I am sharing more birthday cards with you:

Both cards were made with an image from My Favorite Things (MFT), you guys already know about my absolute obsession with cameras, so when I saw this patterned paper from Crate Paper I knew I had to have it! This is part of the Maggie Holmes collection and the colors are so pretty and vibrant and I just love the vintage style of the cameras!

I hope the rest of your Sunday is fantastic and thank you so much for stopping by!

More birthday goodness!

Hello Friends! I'm back today with more birthday cards to share. I truly love making birthday cards because they're so festive and fun. Plus everyone likes receiving a card on their birthday, right?

Both of these cards use the same general layout but I'm thinking that the first one could be used as a masculine birthday card. The paper that I used for both cards is by Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes collection) and for the first card I used a star embellishment from October's Afternoon's 9 to 5 collection. I used some washi tape on the bottom of both cards and the sentiment/die cut is from Papertrey Ink. I did a little stitching to the top of both cards just to give them more of a handmade feel.

Well that's it for today, but I have a few more birthday cards to share so I'll be back soon. Thank you so much for stopping by!

9 to 5

Hello Friends! I hope your weekend has been great so far. It always goes by so quickly, but at least we do get a couple of days to try to relax and recharge. I made a set of 12 birthday cards for my sweet friend Chi, so today I'm sharing a couple of the cards.

Okay, I have a confession to make...I am totally IN LOVE with this paper collection! It's from October Afternoon and it's called 9 to 5. The whole collection has an office theme and I just think it is so darn cute! It really makes it pretty easy to make a card because the artwork is so incredible! As you can see both cards were made using this collection and I just added a couple of embellishments to finish them off. I really like these cards, they make me smile! :-)

Well enjoy your Sunday and I will be back soon with more birthday goodness to share! Thanks so much for stopping by!
