Baby Talk

Hello Friends! I hope you're having a great start to your week. Today I'm popping in with a quick update on Paige. She's 16 months old (I still can't believe that!) and she's walking/running all over the place! She is loving her newfound freedom and let me tell you, we have to keep our eyes on her every second! She's pretty slick I tell ya! She's getting more verbal too, and that's just the cutest thing ever! Her favorite word is still da-da, but she will occasionally say mama (I think just to let me know she really can say it), and it's so funny because instead of saying bye-bye she's waves and says ta-ta,- like ta-ta for now! She's so fancy! LOL!

Anyway, we are enjoying every moment with this sweet little girl. She has a smile that completely lights up the room and she is such a blessing in our life. Yesterday was such a beautiful sunny day so we took a little walk to the tot lot in our neighborhood and I snapped a few photos.

I hope you all have a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by!

With Sympathy

Hello Friends! It's the weekend, baby!!! Do you have any fun plans? Not much this way, just chilling with the family. I have a bit of a somber post today because one of my co-worker's lost her mom recently. They were very close and I feel so bad for her. Losing a parent is never easy, but I wanted to let her know that I'm thinking of her and to give her some words of encouragement.
I used the stamp set The Sweet Life from PTI for the flowers, as well as Boutique Borders: Thank You. I added the sympathy sentiment inside the border and that was it. Sometimes less is more for sympathy cards. In this photo is almost looks like I used glitter on the flowers but I didn't, but I kinda wish a did! Note to self, next time add glitter!

Well, that's it for me today. I'm off to play with Paige and make us some breakfast!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gold foil thank you

Hello Friends! Happy Tuesday! My company was closed yesterday so it was really nice to have a day off. And, I used my day off wisely by crafting my little heart out! I will have some cute stuff to share with you in the coming days and I'm really working hard towards one of personal goals of crafting more and sharing more on the blog! Today's card was truly inspired by this post by Amber Kemp-Gerstel who is ridiculously talented! I bought Silhouette gold foil a while ago and have been dying to do something with it! When I saw Amber's post I knew that was just the way to get my feet wet. The foil is adhesive backed so it makes it a dream to work with! Here's my version of Amber's card:
I made this card for my sweet friend Leslie's husband. We are planning on having a booth at one of the many crafty events in my area towards the end of the year. Patrick agreed to let Leslie come down, and I had to let him know how much I appreciate it. For this card, I cut the gold foil in 1/4 inch strips and tried to adhere them on my card as straight as I possibly could! The thank you sentiment was of course cut from my Silhouette, I absolutely love that font! Quick, easy, and cute, three of my favorite words! :-)

That's it for me today, I hope you enjoyed the post and I hope you have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello Friends! Happy Valentine's Day! Do you have romantic plans today? My honey and I (and Paige) went to dinner last night and we had a great time. I've been teasing us because our reservation yesterday was at 5:00pm! One of Paige's teachers called us old farts! LOL! But, we did beat the rush and the food was fantastic! My honey also sent me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers to my job and I was able to enjoy them all day! I brought them home yesterday and they are blooming beautifully!

I gave David some cologne - Bvlgari Man and I made this card for him:
Yup, you guessed it another shaker card! LOL! I am so in love with these shaker cards - I think I might be addicted! I used the dies from the Make it Market Shakers and Sprinkles kit from PTI, and I die cut the word Love from my Silhouette. Believe it or not, that cute patterned paper is from Silhouette as well, it's a Print & Cut pattern along with those little kissing booth tickets. Have I mentioned recently that my Silhouette is the BEST crafting tool ever?! I added a little thread bow to the bottom and that was it, Valentine's card...done!

I also made these cute little mailboxes for Paige's teachers. I ended up making 11 of them! And of course these were cut with my Silhouette as well!

You can't give a valentine without a treat, so inside the mailboxes I added chocolate! The teachers loved them!

Well, that's it for me! We're staying in today, it's a chilly 47 degrees here (it may climb to the low 60's) and since that means my heat is on, that means it's pajama day for me and Paige! Although, I really can't complain because I spoke to my mom in Ohio this morning and they are expecting the temperature to be -6 tonight and -30 with the wind chill...BRRRRR!!! I hope you are staying warm wherever you are and I hope you have a fantastic Valentine's Day!

Thanks for stopping by!

First Class Mail

Hello Friends! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. Paige and I met my sweet friend Jeanette (who is also Paige's godmother) for lunch. Then, Paige and I went to a Garlic Festival! Oh my goodness, anything you can think of that might possibly have garlic in it was sold there. Even garlic ice cream! It was a really nice event and believe it or not Paige slept the entire time! So, that gave me a chance to really check things out and enjoy myself.

Today I have a birthday card to share. I originally made this card as a set of thank you cards for my brother-in-law, and since I had some leftover supplies I decided to make a few birthday cards as well.
The postage theme came to mind because my brother-in-law retired from the USPS so I thought he would really enjoy a card like this! It was really simple to make because my Silhouette did most of the work. By request, I made this card a little larger than normal, this is a 5 x 7 card and it's funny because although it's only a couple of inches larger than the cards I normally make, it was tough for me to design a card so big!

Well I hope you enjoyed today's post, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Calling all Super Heros!

Hello Friends! How is your week going so far? My week has been pretty good, but I'm happy that we're one day closer to the weekend! Last weekend we went to the fair and we had a great time. The weather was perfect, it was in the low 70's and we all had so much fun. Paige had her first taste of fair food and let me tell you, she LOVED it! LOL!

So, one thing that I like to do is make invitations. I've made a couple of wedding invitations, as well bridal shower invites and of course birthday invitations over the years. This one was made for my nephew for his 2nd birthday.
As you can see he had a Spiderman party! I found some really cute Spiderman paper from JoAnn's along with some cool stickers. I was able to figure out how to do the "pow" around Super Heros in a Word document and then just added the rest of the information. My sister really liked them. I have a couple of other invitations that I made a while ago that I'll share in the coming weeks as well.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and thank you so much for stopping by!
