Thank You cards Part 2

Hello friends and happy Saturday! I have Part 2 of my Thank You card series today and these cards truly make me smile. The vintage camera image gives a nice homey feel and if you double-click on the second photo you can see the "film" from the camera has a little sentiment stamped on it. This is definitely one of my favorite stamp sets (I'm sure this will not be the last time you see it!). I used a slight variation of a sketch challenge by My Favorite Things and went from there. These cards were part of the 14 thank you cards I made for my co-worker and I have one more set that I'll be showing in the next few days. I hope to have a little step-by-step tutorial for the last set, so I'll be busy working on that!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Roselle!

Hello Friends! Today is my sweet sister-in-law's birthday and I wanted to wish her a very Happy Birthday! This is the card I made for her and I sure hope she likes it! I just love the patterned paper because if you look closely it says Greetings from Sunny Delray Beach, and living in south Florida it's pretty cool to see a nearby city's name printed on beautiful scrapbook paper like that.

Roselle we hope that your birthday is filled with loving family, wonderful friends, and a day that is truly blessed. We love you!

Set of Thank You cards

Hello Friends! It's been a few days since my last post and I apologize for that! I've been working on a set of 14 Thank You cards for a co-worker and just completed them last night. I decided on 3 totally different designs with varying patterned papers. The cards today encompass one design and I will post the other two designs throughout the week.

I believe the art of the the Thank You card has been a little lost lately because it's so much easier to send a quick text or email to thank someone. But, I don't know about you but I love getting happy mail (happy mail would consist of just about anything except for a bill - LOL!). I think that people really appreciate receiving thank you cards because it lets them know that you really truly are thankful for what they did for you. I have a friend that ALWAYS sends thank you cards and each time I've received one it just made my day! That same friend recently sent me Oprah's Rules for Life After 35, please check out Rule #6. :-)

I hope you enjoyed today's post, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Coffee Anyone?

Hello Friends! Well anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE coffee so when I came across these stamps at Joann's I just had to have them! I made this card for my co-worker Amanda who gave me the cutest the little magnet for my cubicle that says "I {heart} coffee" and that just made me smile! So, I made her a quick thank you card to let her know how much I appreciate it. And, if you know Amanda this sentiment is definitely true about her! LOL!

The coffe image is a stamp from Hero Arts and the sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo. Those beautiful patterned papers are from the Delighful collection by Authentique. I'm sure I will be using these stamps again and again, I hope you don't get too bored with them!

Have a great day everyone and I thanks so much for stopping by!

Bon Voyage

Ahhh, just thinking about a cruise makes me happy! I made this card with those happy thoughts in mind. My honey and I have taken several cruises over the years and we both say that it's the best way to take a vacation. It's so relaxing, and you don't have to spend time thinking about when or where you're going to eat or what you're going to do that day because it's pretty much all done for you. We just like to sit on the deck with our umbrella drinks and just chill. Oh goodness, now that talking about this, I really want to plan another one!! LOL!

This card was made using the Postmarks stamp set by Papertrey Ink and the palm tree I believe is a stamp by Hero Arts. This was a fun card to make and cross your fingers that another cruise will be in my immediate future! Have a great day friends, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Another Mo Manning Image

Hello Friends! I'm back with another sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil. This little cutie was colored with Copic markers and the patterned paper is an older collection from Cosmo Cricket. I hope you all are having a great start to the work week and I hope to have more craftiness to share in the coming days. Have a fantastic day and thanks for stopping by!

Grocery List

Hello friends! I love making these little grocery lists. I have one in my purse so it's always handy when I need to jot down the things I need from the grocery store. If I don't write it down, it definitely won't make it into my cart (just ask my husband!). These little pads are perfect for just about anything, and small enough to carry around with you.

For this grocery list, I used Hawaiian Shores cardstock from Papertrey Ink as well as their stamp set called Take Note. As you can see the inside of the notepad has a small pocket which is perfect for coupons! These days we all need to use a coupon or two, or three..., the patterned paper used is my newest obsession from October Afternoon called Woodland Park.

I hope you all liked today's post, and I look forward to having you back real soon!

Thanks for your kindness

I think I'm starting to get the hang of blogging! I wanted to share this card because I want to thank my friends and family for all of their support. I've been so afraid to step out there and share my work, but with my awesome husband and wonderful friends and family I've taken that step and I'm so happy I did! I just wanted to say thank you and I plan to continue to share my passion and hopefully I'll make you all proud!

Make a Wish

Okay, so it's not my birthday but I am making a wish today. And that wish is to be selected to the Design Team of my local scrapbook store, Everything Scrapbook and Stamps! I submitted my application today and if selected I would make 2 projects per month for 6 months using product from the store that would be provided in a kit just for me. I'm not sure how many designers will be selected but I'm hoping that I'm one of them! So, wish me luck!!

This card uses some fun paper from My Mind's Eye and the cupcake stamp is from Papertrey Ink. I hope you all are having a great Wednesday, and thank you so much for stopping by!

My New Blog!

Hi and welcome to my blog! I am truly still in the learning phase of blogging, but here is my first post. This blog will be dedicated to cards and other papercrafts that I've designed as well as a list of products used so you can get crafty and recreate them yourself! I plan to open a shop on Etsy soon where many of the cards featured on my blog will be made available for sale.

I made this card for my sweet friend Chi for her niece's First birthday. I used an adorable image (named Odette) from Mo's Digital Pencil, and I colored her with Copic markers. I am still very new to using Copics but I plan to keep practicing because as they say practice makes perfect! I used cardstock from Papertrey Ink and the patterend paper is from October Afternoon's Woodland Park collection.

I hope that you will find my blog to be a fun place to stop by and check out the latest happenings in Carol's Creative Corner! See you soon!
