Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends! I hope you've been enjoying the weekend. It's been super wet and rainy here, so we haven't spent too much time outdoors. But, it's been nice just having the opportunity to relax a little bit. My poor honey has a cold, so he's been resting and trying to get better. Paige and I have been hanging out just playing, laughing and singing every song imaginable. I think my little one is a songbird, she LOVES to sing!

Today, I have a cute birthday card to share.
So, I whipped out my awesome Lawn Fawn plaid patterned paper (AGAIN) and built the card from there. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the bike and a Spellbinder die for the shape behind the bike. I used some Distress Ink for the sky and grass, aded a few clouds and the sentiment at the bottom, and the card was done. To me, the card looks really sweet and peaceful.

Well, I better go check on my hubby to make sure he's okay. Perhaps a little more tea is in his future! I hope you all have a great day, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a Rockin' Birthday

Hello Friends! Is it Monday already? Geez, do the weekends go by faster and faster, or is it just me? Well, although it went by in a flash, I had a really good weekend. We went to a wedding on Saturday and I absolutely LOVE weddings! We had a great time, and when I tell you we danced the night away, I mean it! They had a band at the reception and they were phenomenal! They played songs from Earth, Wind, and Fire to Bruno Mars, they were excellent! Needless to say, on Sunday we were a little sore and had really hard time getting out of bed, LOL! We don't bounce back as quick as we used to! Ahhh, the joys of getting older.

Today, I'm sharing a couple of birthday cards that were included in the set that I made for my co-worker awhile back. I pulled out my Keep on Rockin' stamp set from MFT and got to work.
I love those little ipods! I decided to make one a little more masculine than the other so my co-worker can use them for anyone's birthday. I think they turned out kinda cute! ;-)

Well, I guess I better get ready for work and slowly slide into another work week. Enjoy your day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello Beautiful

Hello Friends! Happy Friday! The weekend is finally here and I am ready to enjoy it! I don't know how the weather is in your neck of the woods, but it's been absolutely beautiful here. Low 80's, low humidity, really nice. We're planning on spending some time with David's extended family tomorrow night and that should be a lot of fun. Lots of food, drinks, games and plenty of laughter. That's always a recipe for a good time!

Today, I have a birthday card to share with you.
The first thing I want to say about this card is it had me at Hello! Calling me Beautiful was just icing on the cake - LOL! So, I've recently started to broaden my crafting horizons by purchasing stamps and inks for other companies. I must say that Simon Says Stamp is starting to become a favorite of mine! I bought their February Card Kit and I have not been disappointed.

I stamped the sentiment from the February Card Kit and the female silhouette at the bottom is a stamp from PTI's Fashion Sense set. The set was available during their 2015 Stamp-A-Faire and was free with purchase. I made this card along with a few others for my co-worker, she told me that she absolutely loved the cards and can't wait to start mailing them out. That always makes me feel so good!

Well, that's it for me today. I hope you have a great weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Where has the year gone!

Hello Friends! I hope you all are doing well, and not letting the holidays get you too stressed out! I can't believe it's almost been a month since my last post...what's up with that?! It seems like after Halloween, the year has been moving at warp speed! I can honestly say that I am NOT ready for Christmas. I haven't bought one gift, and we haven't even gotten our Christmas tree yet. Needless to say, it's been kind of hard for me to get into the holiday spirit without a tree. Our plan is to get one today, so hopefully that will pep me up and get my juices flowing for all the wonderful things that Christmas is.

So, since I haven't posted in quite some time, I have a couple of things to share. (just because I haven't been blogging, doesn't mean that I haven't been crafting!) LOL!

I made this card for my sister. I used the beautiful Vintage Linens patterned paper from Papertrey Ink, along with those cute camera images from MFT. The stamp set is called Picture This.

This next card was made for my co-worker to give to her twin sister for their 50th birthday. I used the MFT set called Picture Perfect.

The photo didn't come out great, but the gold foil on the bottom says Fabulous at 50. It looked much better IRL. :-) Well, I better get myself together so we can go pick out a beautiful Christmas tree. As a random side note, before we got married, my husband would buy his tree on Christmas Eve because they were basically free! Thank goodness he doesn't want to do that anymore!

I hope you have a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Birthday card

Hello Friends! How are you this beautiful Sunday morning? Although fall isn't in the air in south Florida, I sure do love all of the pumpkin spice goodies being offered EVERYWHERE! I love me some punkin! Once the delicious pumpkin muffins are back at Dunkin Donuts I know the rest of the year is going to fly by! So, while I enjoy my pumpkin Belvita crackers this morning, in the back of mind I'm thinking that Christmas will be here soon!

Well, today I'm sharing a card I made for a co-worker,(I believe her mother is turning 75). I have so many things in my head these days with Paige's birthday coming it's hard for me to keep everything straight! LOL!

For this card I used the Rosie Posie stamp set from PTI to create my own patterned paper. Those flowers are so pretty I love how they just fill in the paper so effortlessly. I added a strip of cardstock to the bottom and added the birthday sentiment. I cut out 75th using my Silhouette and gold foil paper. Have I mentioned that I'm in love with the gold foil?? I swear I wish I could use that stuff on every card I create!

Well, I think I hear my little one waking up so I better get in there so we can get her day started. I hope you have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Labor Day!

Hello Friends! To those of you in the US, Happy Labor Day! My husband and I are both off today so we plan on relaxing, and fixing a couple of things around the house. I hope to also get a little crafting time in as well. Paige will be running around laughing and playing and enjoying the fact that we're all home together. Should be a fun day!

Today, I have another card to share from the Stay Tuned stamp set from MFT. It's a great go-to stamp set for a guy (remember I have serious issues making masculine cards!). I made this birthday for a co-worker, he's a really nice guy and he got married the weekend after his birthday which made for a very exciting week for him!
I love that retro TV set, and the paper is from the Sprinkles & Shakers Make it Market kit from PTI. I love the extra retro vibe it gives to the card, and I stamped the little starbursts and diamonds on the paper to help add some visual interest. My co-worker really liked the card and I have to say that it really makes me smile when I walk around the office and I see my cards sitting on various desks throughout the office.

Well, I don't know about your neck of the woods but the sun is shining brightly here today and I definitely want to get outside and enjoy it! Have a great Labor Day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Birthday cards

Hello Friends! I hope you're having a great week thus far. It's been very nice being on vacation, I've been chilling! Paige and I ventured out yesterday to an indoor playground (remember I told you I can't do HOT and HUMID) and it was really nice. Paige had an absolute blast! After that, we met my friend (and Paige's Godmother) for lunch. I had one of the BEST burgers I think I've ever had, and let me tell you I've had some great burgers. I think it ranks in my top 3!

I thought I would drop by and share two more cards from the set I made my co-worker.

These cards were made with the PTI Make it Market Kit - Shakers & Sprinkles but I didn't add the sprinkles or the shakers for a change. I just used the beautiful patterned paper and added some enamel dots. Easy peasy! I know I've said this over and over again, but I LOVE THIS KIT! It's so easy to use and all of the cards come out amazing. Thank you Besty Veldman!!

Well, I hope the rest of your day is fantastic and thank you so much for stopping by!

Relaxing birthday

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday! What are your plans for the weekend? Not much going on this way, my sweet little girl woke up with a runny nose and a slight fever so I'll be spending my day giving her lots of TLC!

I don't know about you, but this has been a really long week! I am so happy it's the weekend, and we have lots of sunshine and blue skies so if nothing else, I'll probably take Paige for a nice stroller ride around the neighborhood. So, I wanted to pop in and share a relaxing birthday card for you. I made it for my boss to give to her husband for his birthday. Yup, another brown noser move by yours truly! LOL!

This card was a lot of fun to make. I used my Silhouette to cut the palm trees and the hammock. The stickers and cardstock are from Authentique and I used some chunky glitter for the "sand." My boss and her family actually spent that weekend in Key West so this card helped to reflect the type of weekend they wanted to have.

Well, I can't hang out long, I gotta go check on my little punkin. I hope you have a great day, and a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Can you say shaker card?

Hello Friends! Yup, I'm back today with yet another shaker card! I know, I'm addicted but I don't want any help for it! LOL! These cards are so fun to make, and I bought another shaker die that I'll be sharing with you soon, it's really cute!

These cards are from the set I made my sweet friend Chi.

I used the PTI Make it Market Kit - Shakers and Sprinkles and as always, these cards just make me smile! Betsy Veldman is a genius with these Make it Market kits because everything fits so nicely together and she takes all the guesswork out of making cards! Love it!

Enjoy your Saturday, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Birthday cards

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday! Did you have a good week? My week started out kind of yucky because I took Paige to her first dentist appointment and I think we are both traumatized! Oh my goodness, I have never seen this little girl cry the way she did! She's very particular about her face and mouth so when they went in there to clean her teeth it was on! I usually sing to her in order for her to open her mouth to let me brush, but needless to say the toothbrush song didn't work at the dentist office! After her cleaning, I held her and calmed her down but then came the dentist. As soon as he put his fingers in her mouth, down she bit!! She was pretty much over it. But, she got a great report and her teeth are very healthy, but I told my husband he's taking her to the next appointment! LOL!

So, I recently made a set of birthday cards for my sweet friend Chi and I'll be sharing a couple of them with you today.
Don't you just love that script font? The stamp set is from PTI and it's called Graceful Greetings, it's definitely going to one of my go-to sentiment stamps. I wanted to make the sentiment the star of the show, so I added a couple of small flowers (also from the set) and a couple of the stars for the more masculine card. I also added a few enamel dots to finish off the cards. Sometimes less is more, and I feel this is one of those times where that worked out well.

Do you have any plans today? Hopefully it's nice and sunny where you are and you'll have a chance to get out there and enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

It's all about the television

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday! I'm so happy it's the weekend and since it's a three day weekend, I'm even happier! I truly need the extra day off, I've been exhausted lately. I guess that comes with the territory of being a mom, wife, having a full time job, and a craft business on the side! LOL! I'm totally not complaining, but sometimes I just need to vent a little. :-)

Today, I have a card to share that I made for my honey. His birthday was earlier this month and although we played it very low-key we still celebrated. We ended up picking up food from Carrabba's and I bought a small cake for him. It was nice.
So, you probably already know that I have such a hard time making masculine cards. Well, when MFT came out with this stamp set I knew if would be perfect for a masculine card. MFT has a die set as well, but I used my Silhouette to cut out the television instead of paying extra for the dies (just call me frugal). I'll definitely use this set often because there are some really cute sentiments included.

Well, we're off to check out a local craft show. I hope the rest of your weekend is fantastic, and thank you so much for stopping by!

More shaker cards

Hello Friends! Well, we're one day closer to the weekend, woohoo! I hope you're having a great week thus far! Mine started out fantastic because I had a date with my husband on Monday. We took the day off, dropped Paige off at school, and headed to Boomer's (it's like Dave & Buster's), then to the movies. We saw Fast & Furious 7, talk about action packed! I totally cried like a baby at the end  because they paid such a beautiful tribute to Paul Walker, I just couldn't stop the tears from rolling down my face. But the movie was great and afterward we had a little late lunch, picked Paige up from school and headed home. It was a really nice day! We definitely have to do that again...SOON!

Today, I'm back with a couple of shaker cards. You know I absolutely LOVE these shakers cards, I just can't get enough of them!

Of course I used the Sprinkles & Shakers Make it Market kit from PTI for these cards. I'm telling you, the combination of the patterned paper, the die cut words, and those wonderful sprinkles just make these cards so fun to make! If these cards don't make someone smile, I don't know what will. LOL! Gosh, I just love this hobby! :-)

Well, it's time to get ready for work. I hope you have a great day and I hope to be back this weekend with more cards to share. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday card

Hello Friends! I'm so sorry for the brief hiatus, but I've been having some serious computer issues! I'm actually still having those problems but I had to backdoor it and use Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer, so here I am! You can't keep a good woman down! LOL!

Did you all have a nice weekend? Mine was very relaxing, and very hot! Can you believe the temperature on Sunday got up to 99 degrees?! Isn't that insane! It's only April!!!! I think I say this every year, but I'm so not ready for the summer! Anyway, I digress. I'm here today to share a birthday card I made for my God Daughter, Danielle. She's such a sweet little girl, I just love seeing her smile!
I really like how this card turned out. Danielle's mom even texted me to tell me how much she loved it! I used some really pretty patterned paper from Simple Stories called Vintage Bliss and decided to go with the whole photo/camera theme. I cut out the Polaroid banner from a piece of patterned paper, and stamped the sentiment from PTI's Shutterbug set. I used the library card and the memories enclosed label from October Afternoon's "doo-dads" from their Farm Girl collection. I stamped the BIG Birthday Wishes sentiment from PTI's Think Big Favorites, and added the little wood veneer camera for some added dimension. All in all, it was a really fun card to make!

Well, I hope you enjoyed today's post and if my internet is still cooperating later this week, I'll be posting more for sure! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday cards

Hello Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! Unfortunately, I'm feeling a little under the weather, so the week isn't starting out too great for me. But, I'm not going to let a little cold get me down, so I'm here today to share a couple of birthday cards.

I made the first card for my friend's daughter who turned one earlier this month! She had a Minnie Mouse themed party, it was a lot of fun!
The second card was made for one of my friends. You know I LOVE that gold foil patterned paper from PTI, so I took that out and whipped up this quick and easy card.

I'm currently working on a set of 10 cards for a friend of mine, so I'll be back soon to post pics of those! Thanks so much for stopping by!

A set of cards for mom

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday! I didn't think the weekend would ever get here! Did anyone else feel like this was a LONG week? Geez, I was exhausted on Wednesday, LOL!! But, the weekend is here and I am so happy! Today, I'll be taking Paige to a birthday party. My friend's daughter is turning one so it should be a lot of fun. I'm hoping to get a little crafting time in this evening. I'm trying something new, and that's crafting at night after I put Paige to bed. It's a little hard because I'm sleepy too, but I'm thinking that it's worth a shot at least on the weekends. It's nice and quiet, no interruptions, so we'll see how it goes.

Today, I want to share the cards that I made for my mom. When she got them she told me that it was like opening a spring bouquet! How sweet was that! I mean I know she's my mom and all, but dang that was really sweet!! I made her a set of 6 cards with a little holder and I'm so happy she like them.

That little box is quickly becoming my go-to box! It's made with the Silhouette and it's a snap to put together. I used patterned paper from Authentique to pretty up the chipboard, and then I added a sticker I had from Simple Stories. I decided to go with a couple of hello cards, sympathy cards, and birthday cards for this set. I've made those sympathy cards before but I really like the layout so I decided to make a few of those to have on hand. The birthday cards are made with the Shakers & Sprinkles set by PTI, and lastly the hello cards are made with a stamp set from My Favorite Things. I think it's called Abstract Art. I just stamped randomly and added the sentiment, I'm normally all about a dimensional card, but I decided to make all these relatively flat. It makes it a little easier for my mom to mail. It's all about mom! :-)

Well, I hope the rest of your weekend is fabulous! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Pinch me...

Hello Friends! Happy Sunday! Are you having a good weekend? My weekend has been great, Paige and I ran some errands yesterday and then as a treat I took her to an indoor bounce house, she had a blast! She's still not too keen on jumping, but she ran all over that place and enjoyed seeing all of the other kids. My plan today is to get some crafting done! I'm very excited. David and Paige are having a daddy/daughter day so I'll have some "mommy" time to get some crating projects started.

I also have a cute card to share today. My co-worker's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day so I made this pinch me card for her.
This is a 5x5 card, and I just used some patterned paper for the background, added a paper doily, and cut out the shamrock and pinch me sentiment with my Silhouette. I then added some stickers and stamped the word birthday onto some kraft cardstock and cut it out. That little star came in an old Studio Calico kit, I thought it fit perfectly!

Well, that's it for me today. I hope you have a great day and I'll be back soon to share what I make today!

Thanks for stopping by!

First Class Mail

Hello Friends! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. Paige and I met my sweet friend Jeanette (who is also Paige's godmother) for lunch. Then, Paige and I went to a Garlic Festival! Oh my goodness, anything you can think of that might possibly have garlic in it was sold there. Even garlic ice cream! It was a really nice event and believe it or not Paige slept the entire time! So, that gave me a chance to really check things out and enjoy myself.

Today I have a birthday card to share. I originally made this card as a set of thank you cards for my brother-in-law, and since I had some leftover supplies I decided to make a few birthday cards as well.
The postage theme came to mind because my brother-in-law retired from the USPS so I thought he would really enjoy a card like this! It was really simple to make because my Silhouette did most of the work. By request, I made this card a little larger than normal, this is a 5 x 7 card and it's funny because although it's only a couple of inches larger than the cards I normally make, it was tough for me to design a card so big!

Well I hope you enjoyed today's post, and thanks so much for stopping by!

May this be your best birthday yet!

Hello Friends! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is in two weeks?! I sure can't, it just seems like the time is going by so quickly! My husband and I were already talking about our Christmas budget. And, we've decided to host Thanksgiving this year so I have a lot of work to do!

So, today I'm popping in with a birthday card that I made for my sister. She recently turned 26 so I sent her this card with a little money inside. :-)

I used on of my favorite PTI stamp sets, Stitched Sentiments on this card. It just has that homey feel that I love so much. Well, it's time for us to get ready for church, so this will be a super short post.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday card

Hello Friends! Are you having a great weekend so far? I must say that the weather here is BEAUTIFUL! It's actually cooling off a little and it's in the 70's in the morning and mid-80's in the afternoon, it's been awesome.

So, today I'm popping in with a birthday card I made for our friend's son who turned 18 a few weeks ago. She had a fabulous party for him and we really enjoyed ourselves. Of course Paige kinda stole the show because who doesn't love holding, hugging, and kissing a baby! LOL!!

I think by now you all know that I have an issue with making masculine cards, but I tried really hard with this one! You can never go wrong with a color palette of brown, green, and orange! You also know that I have love affair with typewriters and when I saw this stamp with a  Royal typewriter I just had to have it! My co-worker is a "professional" vintage shopper so I have her on the look-out for a Royal typewriter (at a reasonable price, and that works) for me! I know she'll come across it one of these days!

Well, I have an eye appointment today (yes, the peepers are getting old!) and then Paige and I are hanging out. Hopefully I'll get some crafting time in as well, I gotta get my thank you cards made for Paige's birthday gifts. I have the CD of the pics from her party, so I'll be sure to start posting those soon!

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Birthday Cards

Hello Friends! I hope you're having a great weekend! My weekend has been good even though we've all been battling a cold! I think Paige is doing the best out of all of us. LOL! We did get a chance to go to the park yesterday for a picnic we had with some friends. I think the fresh air was good for us.

So, I've been spending my time planning and crafting for Paige's birthday party! I can't believe she's almost one! I'm really happy with the way things are turning out and of course I'll be sharing the finished products!

Today, I have a couple of birthday cards to share that Paige and I gave to David for his birthday.

I made these cards a couple of months ago, and truly forgot to post them. Needless to say, I'm not even sure I remember all of my supplies! With that said, I won't say much about the cards, but I hope you enjoy them!

Have a great Sunday, and thank you so much for stopping by!
