A set of cards for mom

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday! I didn't think the weekend would ever get here! Did anyone else feel like this was a LONG week? Geez, I was exhausted on Wednesday, LOL!! But, the weekend is here and I am so happy! Today, I'll be taking Paige to a birthday party. My friend's daughter is turning one so it should be a lot of fun. I'm hoping to get a little crafting time in this evening. I'm trying something new, and that's crafting at night after I put Paige to bed. It's a little hard because I'm sleepy too, but I'm thinking that it's worth a shot at least on the weekends. It's nice and quiet, no interruptions, so we'll see how it goes.

Today, I want to share the cards that I made for my mom. When she got them she told me that it was like opening a spring bouquet! How sweet was that! I mean I know she's my mom and all, but dang that was really sweet!! I made her a set of 6 cards with a little holder and I'm so happy she like them.

That little box is quickly becoming my go-to box! It's made with the Silhouette and it's a snap to put together. I used patterned paper from Authentique to pretty up the chipboard, and then I added a sticker I had from Simple Stories. I decided to go with a couple of hello cards, sympathy cards, and birthday cards for this set. I've made those sympathy cards before but I really like the layout so I decided to make a few of those to have on hand. The birthday cards are made with the Shakers & Sprinkles set by PTI, and lastly the hello cards are made with a stamp set from My Favorite Things. I think it's called Abstract Art. I just stamped randomly and added the sentiment, I'm normally all about a dimensional card, but I decided to make all these relatively flat. It makes it a little easier for my mom to mail. It's all about mom! :-)

Well, I hope the rest of your weekend is fabulous! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Get Well Soon

Hello Friends! I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was pretty good. Paige and I went out to breakfast on Saturday, then we headed to a local green market. It was really nice! They had everything from pastries, to breads, fresh fruits and veggies, even cheese. There was a woman there with a booth full of cheese! How awesome is that! So, we hung out there for quite some time because I think this may be a great place for me to have a booth to sell my cards. The foot traffic was wonderful and the environment was perfect, they even had a live band! I'm really excited to speak with the event coordinator and hopefully by the end of year I can set up shop! I'll keep you posted!

Today I have a card to share that I made completely with my Silhouette. I've been checking out these types of cards for awhile, and decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I think I like the results.

Not bad, right? This card is a little larger than my normal cards, it measures roughly 5x5. I thought this would be a good card to make because when someone isn't feeling well, it's good to get something in the mail right away, and I made this card in less than 10 minutes! I ended up sending both cards to my mom because I made her a set of cards recently and she always tells me to add some get well cards, so I listened and I hooked her up with these for her stash. I'll be sharing the other cards I made for her soon, she LOVED them!

Well, I better get ready for work. I hope you have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello notecards

Hello Friends! Are you having a good week? Hopefully spring is around the corner in your neck of the woods. We've been having some beautiful weather lately, highs in the low 80's but even better than that, little to no humidity! Talk about good hair days! LOL!

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you that I absolutely love. Gold foil is all the rage right now and I have to say that I've jumped on the bandwagon and I'm holding on for dear life! I'm loving this look! Last month, Papertrey Ink (PTI) came out with gold foil patterned paper...GENIUS, and of course I had to snag a set! I pulled them out for the first time over the weekend and just about all of the work is already done for you. Check this out...

Can you stand it?! So, the patterned paper already has the gold foil polka dots as well as the rectangle in the middle. All I had to do was heat emboss the sentiment with gold embossing powder, add the little pink heart, and voila, done! The hello stamp is also a new set from PTI called Swoosh, and trust me you'll be seeing this set often! I adhered the card front to Raspberry Fizz cardstock just to give a little color on the back and inside. I'm going to leave the inside blank because I think these are the perfect little notecards, so you can just jot a little note and drop it in the mail. Easy peasy!

I hope the rest of your week is great, and I'm so happy you stopped by!

Pinch me...

Hello Friends! Happy Sunday! Are you having a good weekend? My weekend has been great, Paige and I ran some errands yesterday and then as a treat I took her to an indoor bounce house, she had a blast! She's still not too keen on jumping, but she ran all over that place and enjoyed seeing all of the other kids. My plan today is to get some crafting done! I'm very excited. David and Paige are having a daddy/daughter day so I'll have some "mommy" time to get some crating projects started.

I also have a cute card to share today. My co-worker's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day so I made this pinch me card for her.
This is a 5x5 card, and I just used some patterned paper for the background, added a paper doily, and cut out the shamrock and pinch me sentiment with my Silhouette. I then added some stickers and stamped the word birthday onto some kraft cardstock and cut it out. That little star came in an old Studio Calico kit, I thought it fit perfectly!

Well, that's it for me today. I hope you have a great day and I'll be back soon to share what I make today!

Thanks for stopping by!

Little Notes and a Notepad

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday! I'm so glad that it's finally the weekend, it's been one busy work week! Do you have any plans today? Well, I'm hoping that the rain holds off here because I was planning on taking Paige to a Family Fun Day with a bounce house and petting zoo...we shall see.

Today I have a couple of cute projects to share. The first is a set of little notecards. These could actually be used as gift enclosure cards because they are really small! Silhouette has been sending weekly emails with projects that can be done with the Silhouette. This was one of the projects and since it used the gold foil, you know I had to do it!

Aren't they cute! And the file came with the little notecards, the bubble words, AND the envelopes! I was able to whip these up really quickly and I think they turned out great! I also made a notepad. You know I love my notepads! This time I used patterned paper from Silhouette, it's so cool that I can print my own patterned paper...I LOVE my Silhouette!
You guys also know that I love me some vintage typewriters, so when I saw the PP, I knew I had to make a notepad! The little pink typewriter at the bottom "Hello Gorgeous" was also print and cut with my Silhouette. I was going to give this little beauty away, but I really think I want to tuck it in my purse! LOL! Well, I'm getting ready to have a little breakfast, and play with Paige. I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!
