Love is in the air

Hello Friends! I hope you're having a nice start to your week. As I mentioned in my earlier post, my husband and I decided to take the day off yesterday and just hang out together. So, we dropped Paige off at daycare, and we went to the movies! We saw Get on Up - the James Brown biopic. Then we went out to lunch, and gazed in each other's eyes while birdies and butterflies were fluttering overhead! LOL! Just kidding, but it was really nice to spend some time together.

Today, I'm sharing a wedding card that I made for one of the teachers at Paige's school. She got married two weeks ago, and Paige will be going into her toddler room when she turns one, so you know we have to get in the good with the new teacher ;-)
So, this card was easy peasy! Isn't that the cutest little car? Well, I cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo it was a "print and cut" file, so I just printed the car with my printer, then sent it to the Silhouette to be cut - see, easy peasy! That patterned paper is to die for! It's by Authentique and it's so appropriately called "Pretty!" A doily and a decorative edge border punch finish off the card. Paige's soon to be teacher absolutely loved the card and she couldn't believe I made it. I told her I had a blog, and she told me that "I just became even cooler!" How funny is that!

Well, I hope the rest of your week is fantastic, and as always, thank you so much for stopping by!

Birthday card

Hello Friends! Happy Sunday! How has your weekend been going? Mine has been pretty darn good. My husband and I are taking tomorrow off, so our weekend will be just a tad bit longer. :-)

So, today I have a birthday card to share that I gave to my sweet friend Chi. Her birthday was earlier this month.
I just love this new paint craze that's all around the paper crafting world these days! It's organized chaos! :-) Well, I'm off to get ready for church, I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Thanks for stopping by!

My little notepad

Hello Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a fantastic start! Things have been going great my way, I have absolutely no complaints! Paige is 10 months old and is doing wonderful, I plan to take some photos of her this weekend, and I'll be sure to post them!

I finally started going back to the gym, I think it's about time! I'm on my 5am gym schedule and it's working out nicely. I would really like to lose some weight and get my "mommy tummy" under control before Paige turns one! Wish me luck!! :-)

So, today I have one of my favorite things to share...my little notepad. There's a pretty good story behind this particular notepad. Paige and I were at the car dealership getting my car serviced and we were sitting next to a couple of very nice women. Of course they asked about Paige and it turns out they were mother and daughter and they were both pediatric nurses. So we chatted just a little bit. Anyway, long story short one of the ladies was looking for some paper and since she couldn't find any she started to write on a napkin. Me, being the paper person that I am, I couldn't let her write on a napkin! So, I reached in my purse and took out one of my notepads and gave it to her. I told her she could have it because I would make another one. She asked what I meant by that and I told her about my craftiness. :-) Her mom then told me that her granddaughter is getting married and she would love for me to make some notepads for the bridal shower favors! How cool is that!!! So, I'm just waiting for her to contact me with the amount she needs and the colors. I'm very excited! Her daughter then asked if I could make another notepad and mail it to her, so I did. This one is very similar to the one I made for her.
I know today's post was A LOT longer than normal, so thanks for hanging in there with me! Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Did you miss me?!

Hello Friends! Wow, it's been a LONG time since my last post! So, let me catch you up on what's been going on in my world. My husband and I decided to host his family reunion (what were we thinking!) so we have been very busy with planning and getting things together. The reunion was last weekend and it was VERY nice. Everyone had a great time and it was really nice to see everyone and just talk, laugh and hang out.

And, as if hosting the reunion wasn't enough, we also decided to have Paige baptized that same weekend as well! We figured it was perfect timing because the family would be here anyway, so it really worked out well. Then, on Monday I had to fly to Chicago on a business trip and I was there until Thursday. Needless to say, I'm pooped! But, it was so great when I came home because Paige (and daddy) were so happy to see me when I got back. Nothing like seeing your baby literally jumping for joy when she sees you!

So, I do have a card to share with you today. Remember I told you that I was making 75 Thank You cards for my brother-in-law? Well, I finished the second set about two weeks ago and this is the finished card:
He absolutely loved the card! I got the idea from this post from the super talented Dawn McVey. I really love that grid line cardstock (I'll be using that again I'm sure) and I used the Wet Paint stamp set from Papertrey Ink to stamp the word Thanks several times. Easy peasy!

Well, thank you for hanging in there with me. I'm planning on getting some crafting done today so hopefully I'll have another post in the next couple of days. I hope the rest of your weekend is a great one, and thank you so much for stopping by!
