Happy Birthday

Hello Friends! Are you having a great weekend? I sure hope so! I've had a lazy weekend so far, I was extremely tired so Paige and I had a pajama day yesterday - it was awesome! Today we all went to church and our favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch. I tell you, working full-time and being a wife and mommy is tough! I love every minute of it though, I just have to know when my body needs a break and yesterday was the day!

Today I have a birthday card to share with you. I made this for a co-worker to give to one of his friends. Birthday cards are always fun and I went with the retro typewriter theme for this. I really have a thing for "retro" if you hadn't noticed. LOL!

It was so hard for me to not use pink on this card. I'm trying my hardest to use other colors, but pink is always calling my name! I think there may be a little hint of pink on the patterned paper, but that was it! ;-) Well, I think it's time for me to plop back down on the couch and get a little TV time. I hope you have a great afternoon and thank you so much for stopping by!

Congrats on new home

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday to you, I hope your weekend is off to a great start! My weekend has been great so far because I had the day off yesterday and spent the day at the hair salon and at the mall doing a little shopping. I actually had a "me" day and it was kinda nice. :-) Today we're heading to our church picnic so that should be fun. Nothing like barbeque on a nice sunny day!

On to today's card. I made this one for my boss, she recently bought a new house and they are very excited! So, of course I had to make her a card and I also gave her a bottle of her favorite wine. My husband lovingly called me a "brown noser" but I don't care, my boss is great and she deserved it. :-)
Don't you love that patterned paper? It's by Crate Paper and it reminds me of Leave it to Beaver and that whole retro 50's style. I really didn't do much stamping on this one, I truly let the patterned paper be the star!

I think I'm starting to get a little more familiar with my camera and I'm hoping that my images are getting better. Trust me, I'm trying really hard!! Well, I hope the rest of your weekend is fabulous, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Baby Talk

Hello Friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and I hope today is treating you well! We are feeling better, Paige and I both finished our antibiotics and although we both still have a bit of a cough we're feeling much better.

So, I've decided that I'll pop in once a month to discuss my favorite topic...Paige! I'll chat about her milestones and what she's been up to. First, I have to say that she is by far the happiest baby ever! She wakes up with a smile on her face, she is too sweet! She has these great belly laughs, it's hilarious, all the teachers at her daycare/school come in the infant room just to hear her laugh! She also "talks"...a lot! I think it's pretty safe to say that she's going to be a talker, I have no idea who she gets that from (wink, wink)! The big milestone this month is she started solid foods. We started with organic oatmeal and she was not a fan! I have to admit, it looked like it tasted like cardboard. Any way, we moved on to veggies and fruits and the first veggie we tried was green beans. She loved them! She smiled after every bite, it was so cute! I figure if she likes the veggies, she's going to love the fruits!

On another note, since my mom lives so far away, she doesn't get to see Paige very much, so I made this mini album for her so she has some recent pictures.

This mini album was so easy to put together. The camera and inserts were cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I just added the pics, a few simple embellishments, and this album was done! My mom absolutely loved it!

I know this was a longer post than normal, but it's never too long when you're chatting about this sweet little girl! And, I will leave you with her 5 month photo.
Have a great day, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Better late than never...

Hello Friends! So, I have another leftover Valentine project to share. I made these little treat holders for the ladies in Paige's daycare classroom. They are so good to her! I found this template in the Silhouette store so cutting it out took no time at all.
There are pink M&M's inside the little holder, pretty patterned paper and chipboard embellishments on the front, and it's tied with a pretty pink ribbon. Easy, peasy! :-) The ladies really liked them and I enjoyed making these little treats.

It's just a quick post today because unfortunately, I'm under the weather. But, I'm taking my antibiotics and hope to be feeling better very soon!

Have a great day, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Long time, No Post

Hello Friends! Wow, I can't believe it's been a month since my last blog post! The time is going by so quickly, and being a new mom is NO JOKE! This little girl has me busy from the time we wake up until the time we go to bed! But honestly though, I absolutely love it! Needless to say, I haven't been able to find too much time to craft and post regularly. I made a deal with my husband that this weekend (starting today), I will spend time in the craft room and he and Paige will hang out together.

So, what have I been up to this last month you ask. Well, my little pumpkin is now 5 months old (new pic coming soon) and she has her first bacterial infection. :-( She's on antibiotics for 10 days but she's still as happy as she can be! We are on day 5 of the meds and last night was the time she got through the night without coughing and sneezing. I'm so happy that's she's doing better because she was really congested. Other than that, I've just been working, and being a wife and mommy! Good stuff I tell ya!

So, believe it or not I do have a card to share today, yay!
This card was made for one of my co-workers to give to his significant other. I really loved the "retro" feel of this card. Nothing says retro like a cassette tape, LOL!

Well, that's it for me today. Thank you for hanging in there with me and hopefully this weekend will turn out the way I envision it so I can have more projects to share with you very soon!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!
