Nothing like birthday cards on a Monday...

Hello Friends! Happy Monday! Did you have a nice weekend? Mine was pretty relaxed which is always nice. Hopefully spring has sprung wherever you may be, we've had some really pretty weather the last few days and sunny skies make me smile!

So, what better way to start off the week then with birthday cards?! I have two more to share with you:

For both cards I used the same cardstock and patterned paper. On the first card I used a cute library card with my friend's name Chi as the author. :-) I used a stamp set from Papertrey Ink called Harvest Berries and then added a colorful butterfly to finish it off. On the second card I used a stamp and die set from Papertrey Ink called Just the Ticket. I really like those little tickets, it just looks festive to me. Then I added a die cut from October Afternoon and added a few enamel dots from Teresa Collins (these are quickly becoming my favorite embellishment!!).

Well that's it for me today, I hope your week is off to a great start! Enjoy your day and thank you so much for stopping by!

It's all about birthday's!

Hello Friends! How is your weekend going so far? Mine has been great! I met one of my BFF's at California Pizza Kitchen yesterday for lunch and I was SO disappointed because they no longer have the salted caramel pudding. :-( I guess it was a seasonal item and it has been taken off the menu which I just can't understand because it was the best dessert I've ever tasted! So, our server recommended the butter pound cake. I must say that it was pretty darn tasty as well. It was a moist pound cake on the bottom, cheesecake on top, and then it had ice cream, a caramel drizzle, and whipped cream. Not bad at all! I guess this will be my trusty stand-by until they bring back that caramel pudding! LOL!

Today, my honey and I are going out on a date. :-) We're going to the movies to see the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, I've heard that it's amazing! I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Of course we'll do dinner while we're out and just spend a nice romantic day together.

So, onto the cards. Today I am sharing more birthday cards with you:

Both cards were made with an image from My Favorite Things (MFT), you guys already know about my absolute obsession with cameras, so when I saw this patterned paper from Crate Paper I knew I had to have it! This is part of the Maggie Holmes collection and the colors are so pretty and vibrant and I just love the vintage style of the cameras!

I hope the rest of your Sunday is fantastic and thank you so much for stopping by!

More birthday goodness!

Hello Friends! I'm back today with more birthday cards to share. I truly love making birthday cards because they're so festive and fun. Plus everyone likes receiving a card on their birthday, right?

Both of these cards use the same general layout but I'm thinking that the first one could be used as a masculine birthday card. The paper that I used for both cards is by Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes collection) and for the first card I used a star embellishment from October's Afternoon's 9 to 5 collection. I used some washi tape on the bottom of both cards and the sentiment/die cut is from Papertrey Ink. I did a little stitching to the top of both cards just to give them more of a handmade feel.

Well that's it for today, but I have a few more birthday cards to share so I'll be back soon. Thank you so much for stopping by!

9 to 5

Hello Friends! I hope your weekend has been great so far. It always goes by so quickly, but at least we do get a couple of days to try to relax and recharge. I made a set of 12 birthday cards for my sweet friend Chi, so today I'm sharing a couple of the cards.

Okay, I have a confession to make...I am totally IN LOVE with this paper collection! It's from October Afternoon and it's called 9 to 5. The whole collection has an office theme and I just think it is so darn cute! It really makes it pretty easy to make a card because the artwork is so incredible! As you can see both cards were made using this collection and I just added a couple of embellishments to finish them off. I really like these cards, they make me smile! :-)

Well enjoy your Sunday and I will be back soon with more birthday goodness to share! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Wednesday!

Hello Friends! We've made it to hump day (yeah!), only a couple of more days to go before the weekend! So, I wanted to let you know that last week I submitted two cards to the Stamping Royalty Contest at PaperCrafts magazine. You can read more about it here: http://www.papercraftsconnection.com/blog/2013/04/stamping-royalty/. I submitted a birthday card and a hello card, wish me luck!

So, do you remember the card I made for my sweet friend Chi when she ran a half marathon? Well, she asked me to make another one for her friend that she ran the race with. I used the same runner silhouette but I changed the card up a little:
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the runner and the winding road. I'm not sure if you can tell from the photo, but I added a blue sky and some clouds to the background. This card was pretty quick to whip up and hopefully Chi's friend will like it. :-)

I hope the rest of your day is great, and thanks for stopping by!

Back to work...

Hello Friends! Did you have a nice weekend? I sure hope so! I've been kind of dreading today because I've been on vacation for an entire week and today is my first day back at work. You all know how hard the first day back can be, so say a little prayer that I'll make it through the day without taking a nap! LOL!

Today, I'm sharing a card that I made for my dear friend Leslie. She has a crafty friend and she asked that I make her a birthday card using one of my favorite images from MFT called Far Out. Of course I said yes, and here she is:
Isn't she a doll?! I love those little bell bottom pants and that "groovy" headband! I hope her friend likes it!

Well, I've made quite a few cards while I was off, so I will have lots of birthday cards to share with you in the coming days. Have a fantastic day and thank you so much for stopping by!

The last of the thank you cards

Hello Friends! How are you this fine Thursday morning? I'm doing great, my husband and I spent Easter weekend in Orlando and had a wonderful time. We stayed at the Peabody hotel and it was absolutly beautiful! We spent Easter at Magic Kingdom and all I can say is it was Magical! :-) My husband hadn't been there since he was a kid, and his eyes just lit up when we walked in it was great! Now we're home and just relaxing for a few more day until we head back to work on Monday.

So, today I have the last three thank you cards that I made for my brother-in-law:

All three cards were made using patterned paper from Studio Calico, and the sentiment stamps are all from Papertrey Ink. For the last two cards I used a great die from Papertrey and just added a little button to the middle.

Okay, this is totally random but have you ever tried Belvita crackers? They are breakfast crackers and I think I'm addicted!! The box I have is cinnamon and brown sugar and they are delicious!!! Well, I just had to mention that because I'm eating them as I type and they are just too good not to share!

I hope the rest of your day is fantastic, and I'm off to the craft room to create some cards! Thanks for stopping by!
