The weekend is here, the weekend is here!

Happy Friday friends! It's the weekend, baby!! I hope your Friday is off to a great start and you have fun plans for the weekend. Today I'm sharing a couple of more thank you cards from my brother-in-law's batch:

I think I said in my last post that those cards were my favorites, well these are my favorites as well!! They just look happy to me. I think I used some patterned paper from Crate Paper for these cards, along with the book print and stamp from Papertrey Ink. That large butterfly you see on the bottom and the "tab" were made using my Silhouette Cameo, love that! On the first one, I splashed the butterfly with a little Mister Huey's Mist, and on the second one I decided to leave it as is.

I think I have three more thank you cards to share and I will do so in the coming days. Have a fantastic weekend, and as always thank you so much for stopping by!

More thank you card goodness!

Hello Friends! I'm back today with a quick post to share. I have two more thank you cards from the batch I made for my brother-in-law.

This is definitely one of my favorite cards! I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the little clipboards and the notebook paper. The patterned paper is from Studio Calico (yup, using up my monthly kit!), and the sentiment and fountain pen are from Papertrey Ink. Speaking of Papertrey, I just received a box of goodies yesterday so I need to get to crafting! I'm currently working on birthday cards for my sweet friend Chi, hopefully I can get those done soon.

I hope you enjoyed today's post, and I think I better go so I can start getting ready for work! Have a wonderful day, stay warm (it's only 45 here this morning!), and I will see you soon. :-)

Is it Monday already?

Hello Friends! Gosh, I don't even know if I want to say Happy Monday, where has the weekend gone? I think the older you get, the faster the weekend's fly by! Although the weekend was short, I sure hope you had a great one!

Remember I told you that I made 30 thank you cards for my brother-in-law? Well I finished those up a couple of weeks ago and today I'll start sharing them with you. So, my brother-in-law is a real estate agent/broker and he likes to send thank you cards to his clients for not only purchasing a property but for referring other clients to him. I made a variety of cards, using a few different lay-outs and patterned papers. Here are the first two:

These cards were both made with patterned paper from Studio Calico. I'm not sure if I mentioned this but I'm in a monthly kit club with Studio Calico so every month I receive a package of goodies, and I have made it my mission to use those goodies. I tend to hoard patterned paper, so this is good exercise for me! LOL! I love this sentiment, it's from Papertrey Ink and believe it or not, this was sent as a "thank you" with one of my orders free of charge! Imagine my delight when I opened that box! The sentiment is so bold, there really wasn't much I needed to do to dress it up.

Well, I hope you enjoyed today's post and I'll be back later in the week with a couple of more cards from this batch! Have a great Monday!

Run Chi Run!

Happy Saturday friends! I sure hope your weekend is off to a fantastic start. I see sunny skies out my window, so I'm hoping for a beautiful day. My husband and I have a "date day" planned so we're going to be hanging out all day today, I'm really looking forward to that.

Today, I'm sharing a card I made for my sweet friend Chi who finished her first half marathon a couple of weeks ago. I am just in awe of this girl, she is in great shape! All I can say is You Go Girl! Here's the card I made:
This card was made using some patterned paper from Studio Calico, the stickers on the bottom are also Studio Calico. I cut out the runner silhouette using my Silhouette Cameo (Cammie). I added a quick bow to the card to finish it off. This was one of those cards that came together pretty quickly, I guess I really had a strong idea in my head of how I wanted this card to look and I stuck with it (for a change!). Well, get on out there and enjoy the start of your weekend, I'll be back soon!

Hey there cupcake!

Hello Friends! How are you today? Well, it's the beginning of the week, so it's back to the grind. I hope you all had a great weekend, I definitely did. Today's card is the last of the birthday cards, this one uses a sweet little cupcake from Papertrey Ink. Do you ever watch Cupcake Wars on the Food Network? That show is awesome, the displays they come up with using cupcakes is amazing, if only I could taste them... :-)

I hope you enjoyed today's card and I'll be back later this week with the thank you cards I made for my brother-in-law. I just have to get them downloaded and edited. Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

More birthday card goodness

Hello Friends! Happy Friday to all of you! As promised, today I have a couple of birthday cards to share. These cards are a little more masculine (and I use that word loosely!) you know I still have to add a little bling or some kind of girly style to it! :-) Word bubbles are really popular right now in paper crafting so I had these chipboard bubbles from Studio Calico that I used for this card.
This next card is one of my favorites. I love the patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket and those little wood veneer typewriters are just too cute! Those are from Studio Calico. This was really a fun card to make, I can see myself whipping this up again for my own personal stash!

So, what plans do you have this weekend? Me? Well, I'm meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow, maybe squeeze in a little shopping and hopefully a little crafting. Other than that, we'll go to church on Sunday and then just relax in the afternoon. That's really my kind of weekend!

Well, I hope your day is fantastic and thank you so much for stopping by!

Birthday cards

Happy Monday friends! Was your weekend fantastic? I sure hope it was! I know that at least one of my friends had a great weekend, she ran her first half marathon. Congratulations Chi, I'm so proud of you!

So today I have a couple of birthday cards to share. I would have to say the most requested cards are birthday cards and they are so much fun for me to make. This first card is just a floral free-for-all! There are flowers everywhere! The large flowers were made with the Rosie Posie stamp set from Papertrey Ink.
The second card uses a cute image from My Favorite Things. You know what I recently realized? I think I have an obsession with cameras! I totally gravitate to camera images, camera paper, cameras, cameras, cameras. Oh my goodness, I can't even stop typing the word camera! Is there a support group for this??

Well that's it for me today, I'll have a few more birthday cards to share later this week so stay tuned!

Thank you cards

Happy Monday friends! Did you have a nice weekend? Mine was pretty good, still feeling a little under the weather, but this too shall pass. So, today I have a few thank you cards that I made for one of our Pastor's at church. He requested a set of thank you cards because he has his own business and wanted the cards to send to his clients. I think that's so thoughtful of him. So, I came up with a couple of different designs, used the same patterned paper, and whipped up 10 cards.

I used a great patterned paper pad from Authentique called Renew for all of the cards. I tried to make them somewhat masculine, but still pretty. My Pastor was very pleased with the results. Well, it's the start of the work week so I guess that means, I should be getting ready for work! I will have more to share soon, thanks so much for stopping by!

By the way, I sometimes have issues with Blogger when I try to make images larger, so if you
double-click on the last two photos they will enlarge.

Last of the no-sentiment cards

Hello Friends, happy Saturday to you! I hope you had a great week and have fantastic weekend plans. We are actually expecting a little cooler weather this weekend, which is always a nice change. I think we'll be in the 60's during the day and in the 40's in the evening. I'll take nice brisk weather any day!

So, as you can see today's card is the last of the no-sentiment cards that I made a little while ago. This one uses some fun patterned paper from October Afternoon, it's that Farm Girl collection that I'm so crazy about! Then I used a fun stamp/die set from Papertrey Ink called Friendship Jar.

Well, I've been out of commission the last couple of days I have a cold. I think it's finally starting to break because I'm starting to feel much better. I just rested A LOT and as they say, rest is the best medicine. I finished up a set of thank you cards for one of the Pastor's at my church and I'm currently working on a 30 thank you card order for my brother-in-law so I'll be posting those soon.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by!
