Latte Anyone?

Hello friends! I really have a love for coffee and the a la modes from MFT! My Favorite Things really has a lot of great images to choose from and this one is after my own heart being double-fisted with coffee and all! I used some patterned paper from Studio Calico for this card, a sweet doily, and the image was colored with Copic markers. You definitely get a different look when you used Copics on kraft cardstock, I think I like it.

So far my weekend has been pretty quiet. My husband had to work all day on Saturday so I took the opportunity to relax a little and craft a lot! I currently have 3 orders to complete and my goal is to have them all done by next weekend.

I have one more card to share today. This one is also a girly card and if you know me, you know I'm pretty darn girly!

This card uses some images from Papertrey Ink and the patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket. I like the colors in this paper pack, bright and cheery! I hope the rest of your Sunday is wonderful, and I hope to see you back here soon! Thanks so much for stopping by. :-)

Sweater Weather

Hello Friends! It's funny that I live in South Florida and I have a post titled Sweater Weather! But, I did have to dust off a sweater or two these past couple of days because we got down to the 40's at night and the temperature only climbed to the mid 50's during the day...brrr!! I know, I know the weather is much colder in other parts of the country, but us Floridians are a little spoiled so these chilly days deserved some layering of clothes, hot cocoa, and maybe (just maybe) a little burst of heat in the house to warm it up a bit! :-)

So, the card I have for you today uses the cutest sweater die from Papertrey Ink. I embossed the sweater with one of my Cuttlebug folders and added the notched flower die (also from Papertrey Ink) to give it a little character. This is one of my favorite cards, I think it will put a smile on the face of anyone who receives it.

I have one more card before I go.

This card uses one of my favorite patterned paper collections from October Afternoon, called Woodland Park. I love the colors, and don't you just love those two little bunnies?! This card was pretty quick to whip up, but I really like the end result.

Tomorrow is Friday - yay! Hopefully you all have great plans for the weekend, right now I don't have any plans but I am looking forward to relaxing a little bit. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Monday!

Hello Friends! Happy Monday to you, and for me it's a very happy day because I have the day off in celebration of President's Day! So, my husband and I figured we'd get our taxes done today, what can be more patriotic than that? LOL!!

I do have a couple of cards to share today. The first is a bright cheery card that can be given for any occasion.

The second is a nice mellow card that I think can definitely be given to a guy. Especially one who likes music!

And, I'm sure you guessed it, these are part of the no-sentiment batch of cards. Do you think they got a little better with the more I made? I sure hope so! The recipient of these cards said she really liked them, so that made me really happy. I'm now making a set of thank you cards for one of the Pastor's at my church so I should have pics of those real soon.

Enjoy your Monday, and if you are lucky enough to have the day off, do something fun, not your taxes! :-)

Hello Gorgeous!

Hello Friends! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend! My weekend started off great, my honey and I went out to dinner with two of our very close friends to celebrate Valentine's Day. We went to a Polynesian restaurant that has excellent food, great drinks, and they top it off with an awesome show! I love to see the Polynesian dancers, especially when the guys dance with fire sticks! It was a lot of fun.

Today's card is from the set of 24 no-sentiment cards and although this does have a bit of a sentiment, I couldn't help but use it. I mean hello, it's a pink typewriter for goodness sake!! And she was printed and cut out using Cammie (my Silhouette). I used some patterned paper from Studio Calico, that little order slip is a stamp from Papertrey Ink, and some jute twine finished off the card. I really like how this one turned out.

I hope you all have a great Sunday, and I will see you again real soon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good Morning and Happy Valentine's Day friends! First, I have to say that you have to cut me a little slack on this photo because it was taken with my iPhone, so it's not the greatest picture in the world. But, hopefully you can see the cuteness just the same! I made a couple of Vday cards for my friend Elizabeth to choose from for her hubby and she chose a different card, so I decided to give this card to my honey! I love the inside because it says "Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite." That's from the Sending My Love sentiment set from Papertrey Ink.

This card was made for the same friend. She wanted a card to give to her parents for Valentine's Day, isn't that sweet! She really warmed my heart when she asked me to do that. So, I used Cammie (my Silhouette Cameo) for this little number. The mailbox and the letter were cut out with the machine, and then I just added some beautiful patterned paper from Crate Paper, a doily, and the sentiment to the top.

Well, I hope you all have a fabulous Valentine's Day and cupid comes to visit each with you with cards, candy, hugs, and kisses! Thanks for stopping by!

Burlap meets heat embossing

Hello everyone, happy Monday! Can you believe I'm actually posting two days in a row? Wow, what has gotten into me? I definitely had a wonderful weekend and I hope you all did too. On Saturday I was able to get a little crafting done (which is always a good thing), I have 4 more orders to complete! Then on Sunday my honey and I went to church and then chilled for the rest of the day. Ahh, nothing like a little relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. :-)

So, today I have a couple of cards to share. These cards were a little out of my comfort zone, because I used burlap to give them more of a rustic feel. I heat embossed the doily images and added a couple of buttons to give them some visual interest.

I hope your week is starting off fantastic and I'll be back later in the week with more crafty goodness! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Snapshot

Hello! Today I have a quick post with a couple of cards to share. So, I completed the no sentiment cards I was working on, yay! What I decided to do was to make two of the same design and just tweek the colors a little instead of coming up with 24 unique designs.

If you've been following my blog, you know that I LOVE this stamp set by Papertrey Ink called Shutterbug Special. That vintage camera just speaks to me. :-)

Well, I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and I will see you back here again soon!

No sentiment cards

Good Morning! How are you doing on this fine Wednesday? We've made it to the middle of the work week so that means it should be smooth sailing from here. :-) So, my co-worker asked me to make her a set of cards with no sentiment on the outside and no sentiment on the inside. Well, no sentiment on the inside was easy because I make a lot of cards that are blank inside. However, I also thought that the no sentiment on the outside would be a piece of cake...no such luck. This was really a challenge for me because I realized that I make my cards based on the sentiment. For example, a birthday card is lively and fun, a thinking of you card is soft and sweet, etc. but no sentiment, where the heck do I begin?? It took me a little while to get my mojo going, but it finally kicked in (I think!).

Here are a couple of cards from the set (I'm making 24).

It took every ounce of restraint I had not to put a little something on that yellow tab! I used a great new paper pad from October Afternoon for both of these cards called Farm Girl. I {heart} this patterned paper! I'm starting on card number 23 now, I think they get a little better as I go. It's so funny how something that seemed so simple turned into a nice little challenge for me. I'll be sharing more of these no sentiment cards very soon. I hope the rest of your week is fantastic and thanks so much for stopping by!

The fair and a birthday card

Hello Friends! How have you been? I hope you have been doing well and are staying warm wherever you are. I know the weather is getting pretty cold across the country but the good news is...the groundhog didn't see his shadow! So, hopefully spring will be coming very SOON!

As for me, I've been doing pretty good. My husband and I went to the South Florida Fair last weekend which was a blast! We typically go every year and it's just our time to hang out, eat, people watch, eat, catch a show, eat, and eat some more! I call it Fried Food Heaven. LOL! Here's a pic of me feeding my face with a delicious sausage sandwich with grilled peppers and onions.
And I also snapped a quick photo of the most iconic photo I can think of to describe the fair, the ferris wheel! As you can see by the time I snapped this pic it was dark, needless to say we arrived at the fair at 11:30am and didn't leave until 8:30pm! I know, we're crazy!!

I also have a card to share today! This is a birthday card I made for one of my co-workers, she's kinda of retro so I thought this cutie from My Favorite Things would be perfect with her bellbottom pants on! Look how cute her little toes are. LOL!
Well, that's it for me today, I will be back soon as I've been making lots of cards lately! Have a fantastic start to your week and thank you so much for stopping by!
